Bill Miller: Local Hero
Born in East Street, Stonehouse, on 15 July 1890, William Alexander Miller, known as Bill Miller, was the son of an immigrant father and an English mother. His father, the son of a freed slave, was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa. After finding work on a British ship, he eventually settled in Stonehouse.

Schools Update: Visits, workshops and online resources
As schools return to the classroom, we're busy counting down to the opening of The Box. After a very unusual few months, it's a time for new beginnings. We're marking this by launching a suite of new resources and activities to support schools so they can explore the history of the voyage of the Mayflower.
