Art Fund Museum of the Year
Collections at The Box cover archaeology, natural history, fine and decorative arts, world cultures, photography, moving image, social and maritime history, local archives and local studies.
If you’re thinking of using our collections in research, you can use our archives catalogue to see what we hold. Please note that some items may not appear because they are awaiting publication clearance.
A large number of The Box’s collection of oil paintings and sculptures are searchable on ArtUK and many of our watercolours are listed on Watercolour World. If you require any advice about finding out what else is in our museum collections, please contact collections@plymouth.gov.uk.
