Imagine yourself as an archaeologist of the future. In 200 years from now, if you dug down below the surface of Devonport, what stories would you discover? And what would they tell you about Devonport in 2024?

Future Archaeology invites you to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Devonport by showing fragments of the landscape, combined with the voices of people who live and work there today. Listen to their stories and imagine how Devonport will be remembered by future archaeologists, 200 years from now.

Future Archaeology is a collaboration between multi-disciplinary artist Naresh Kaushal and performance researcher Jamie Harper. Working with small groups of local people, this project seeks to uncover hidden stories of Devonport, shining a light on the everyday experiences that make this place what it is.
