What's involved?

During the session you'll watch the Future Archaeology film in Media Lab. Afterwards, there will be chance to respond to what you've seen through drawing and writing simple fictional stories. Through simple story telling exercises the aim is to playfully reimagine the places and people of Devonport, creating space for new ideas about the life of this city.

You'll be offered some creative prompts by a facilitator if you get stuck and the session will be run in a friendly, relaxed way to help be guided throughout. At the end of the experience, you can add your stories to our visitor book, leaving a message for the archaeologists of the future to discover.

The session will last for approximately 45 minutes.

This community engagement event is connected to 'Future Archaeology - The Devonport Collection: An Incomplete Archive', a film in Media Lab gallery that has been created as part of 'Devonport 200', marking the two hundredth anniversary of the founding of Devonport.

Free, advanced booking is necessary.
