Art Fund Museum of the Year
From coffee and delicious ice cream to tasty meals made from locally sourced ingredients, all served beneath a flotilla of giant ship’s figureheads, The Box Kitchen & Bar is a great place for brunch, lunch or a snack, either while you’re visiting our galleries and exhibitions or as a destination in its own right. Don’t forget to check our daily specials on the board!
Tables are on a first come, first served basis and orders are taken at the bar. Our current opening hours are 10am-4.30pm Tuesday-Sunday and selected bank holidays (kitchen closes at 3pm) and we look forward to welcoming you.
Whether you’re after a leisurely lunch, a late breakfast or you’re popping in to refuel after an afternoon of exploration, our seasonal menu offers light and tasty dishes with an emphasis on local produce from Tuesday-Saturday. Our current menu includes homemade Thai fishcakes, flatbreads, jacket potatoes, toasties, a great brunch selection and daily specials. Little explorers can discover some yummy dishes too. On Sundays, we’re all about brunch…
