Our standard opening hours are 10am-5pm, Tuesday-Sunday and selected Bank Holidays.
Entry is free! You don’t need to book in advance, unless you’d like to reserve a space in the Cottonian Research Room, or book a free ticket to our Summer Exhibitions.
This year we’ll be open from 10am-3pm on Christmas Eve (Thursday 24 December) and New Year’s Eve (Thursday 31 December).
We’ll be closed on Friday 25, Saturday 26, Sunday 27 December and Friday 1 January.
We’ll be open from 10am-5pm on Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 December.
The Box Kitchen & Bar is open 10am-4.30pm (kitchen closes at 3pm) Tuesday-Sunday and selected Bank Holidays.
Enjoy brunch, lunch, drinks and ice creams in our cafe, or out on the terrace in good weather.
Available as a research space all day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (10am-1pm and 1.30pm–4.30pm) and afternoons (1.30pm–4.30pm) on Fridays throughout the year.
