Mayflower 400 Community Sparks
Funding for creative grassroots projects connected to the 2020-2021 'Mayflower 400' commemorations.
Mayflower 400 Community Sparks was set up to support grass-roots community, arts and cultural projects in the city through a series of bursaries of up to £5,000.
Over 60 different initiatives were awarded funding. They included street parties, community murals, tea dances, film screenings and picnics. All the projects were linked to the themes of imagination, humanity, freedom and future.
Mayflower 400 Community Sparks was a partnership between Mayflower 400, Plymouth Culture, Plymouth City Council, The Box and Vital Sparks.
